Amedea Van Burick had been waiting for this moment for a long time. Many fighters would typically study up on their opponent before a battle, but Amedea found that if one were to go into it with a clear mind, they could expect more surprises...and my did she ever! Standing in front her was a rambunctious gal by the name of Almond Haze, a shiny chikorita. Before Amedea could have the chance to comment on her rival, the signal of the fight to began rang out in the arena.

The battle itself was a long and fiery one. Amedea learned quickly that her opponent was a lot like herself in the style they fought in. Both butting heads and neither backing down. It was hard for either of them to charge up an attack, as the other would immediately take advantage and strike. A few times, Amedea would go in with her sucker punch, only to come back bruised. It was evident the girl had a tough exterior and physical attacks sure would do number on her. though Amedea made sure to keep up, brushing her rival off with an electroweb or two and hitting successfully with her toxic. The two girls were hot on each other's heels and it seemed like it would never end.

By mid-battle, both were headed toward the more green side of the field, where Amedea steadied herself and began to charge up an electro ball-getting ready to attack. Almond on the other hand, was catering to her defense for the first time that whole day. She had noticed the forgiving sun and began to use her synthesis to heal the bruises that scattered her body. Amedea, now full of energy once more, charged toward the little chikorita. Needing more time, Almond furiously sent out rapid leaves at Amedea, her razor leaf leaving scratches upon her arms and face.

Amedea knew that if Almond healed herself, things would look bad for her. A miracle would surely be needed to win this if she let her opponent patch herself up and so Amedea jumped in to the sharp storm of leaves, hoping that her next strike would turn the tables.
